KN95's, Respirators and Wildfires

KN95's are the Chinese standard masks for what the US considers the N95's. With N95's considered for health care professionals, KN95's are a viable substitute for personal protection and the benefit of breathing in cleaner air. When worn properly, they are designed to filter out 95% of airborne particles.

Smoke is considered a PM2.5 particle. That means that they are 2.5 microns in size. To put that in perspective, there is about 25,000 microns in an inch. PM2.5 filters are also designed to filter out these particles as well. This is also a great opportunity to start wearing respirator masks while out in public to help individuals breath in less smoke as we see a hazy skies in the greater Los Angeles and California areas.

Different masks have different benefits. Disclaimer, the CDC states that these respirator masks are not effective in preventing the transmission of COVID-19 so please use your best judgement when using these masks in social settings. As the CDC states this, certain places will ask you to wear a different mask before entering their facilities. Places like San Fransisco do not allow this mask under their city wide ordinance for face masks. However this does help filter out smoke particles to have benefits for the individual. I personally have not had any issues with this mask in social settings and find them helpful when breathing when outside.

With fires still going on all over California, it would help individuals to breath in less smoke as we can clearly smell it in the air in many areas all over Los Angeles.

ProtectYourHealth.com has both the KN95's and Respirator Masks factory direct for cheap prices and instant shipping. Usually people will received their masks within 2-3 days of ordering as we ship same day with USPS Priority.
